Vocational Schools

These vocational school is a secondary school for ages 16-21, and prepares the students for entering the workforce. The curriculum includes little academic general education, while the practical skills of each trade are stressed. The education is divided into eight main categories with a total of about 50 trades. Vocational schools are not like any other school. I know many people who go to vocational schools and at these schools they do teach you the same subjects as in high school but instead of going to these subjects everyday you go to the subjects of math science etc for one week and then when you go to vocational school you are basically going into a trade like plumbing, welding and nursing. So every other week you would do the trade and learn how to do what the job was. The classes were like training to eventually when the student graduates they will be able to go out and get a job and know what they needed to do in that trade. I believe that these schools are great for the students that know what they want to do in life and just want to do it right after highschool. I am very familar with these schools there is one right up the street from my house and before I went to high school went to check it out but decided it was not for me. Vocational schools are very popular and continue to be suceesful
